I Saw My Dog In Heaven

I Saw My Dog In Heaven And What It Meant To Me

Losing a pet can be truly heartbreaking.

These four-legged friends of mankind are everything that we need.

They remind us to be kind, generous, be loyal and love everything there is.

And when they leave the world, there is one less pure form of consciousness in the 3-dimensional world.

The important thing here is, they leave our hearts still filled with love, joy, and kindness, even when they depart, which makes me believe that they walk with us even after they go to heaven.

This write-up is dedicated to my pet dog, ‘Joey,’ who I lost 12 days ago.

It wasn’t until my deceased dog appeared in my dog and gave me a message that I knew I had to share with the world.

I saw my dog in heaven, joyous, content, peaceful, and still as warm as he ever was when he was on the material plane.

A Little Back Story

My Joey was a rescue.

I saved him from being crushed under the tires of a truck around nine years ago.

He was really tiny when I saved him and was really scared too.

He may have lost his way from his mother.

Even after I was able to find his family and leave him with them, he came back to me, wagging his tail, and smiled in an attempt to get my permission to stay with me.

That’s when I took him in.

Up until then, even the thought of raising a pet hadn’t crossed my mind, but little Joey was just too irresistible.

I named him Joey because I am a huge fan of the Joseph Tribbiani, a.k.a, Joey, from the T.V. show ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’

Nine years passed by like a dream, and everything in my life kept changing, except for Joey’s life for me.

And then one day, after the vet diagnosed internal bleeding in Joey’s stomach, both of us knew it was time.

And so, he did!

My family and I arranged a joyful memorial in his memory and buried him in our backyard.

Even after that, I just wanted to see him one last time, just to tell him how thankful I was that he was a part of my life, and how sorry I was, that I was not able enough to save him for the second -time.

All About My Dream

On the 6th day of my dog’s death, I finally dreamt of him.

His entire aura shone like a diamond as I saw him from afar.

He was at the same place, with his mother and siblings, where I left him years ago after I rescued him.

It was a trailer park, with trailer houses and a small garden, the same as it was then.

He was really tiny in the dream, too, like he’d just been born.

For a minute or two, I just watched him as his mother fed him, as well as his brother and sisters.

Then all of a sudden, Joey turned around.

As soon as he did that, the background turned into something unimaginable, in a good way.

I cannot term it as a garden, as it had other elements than just flowers and trees.

To be exact, I was suddenly at a place that had a huge snowy mountain at the far back, but it wasn’t cold.

A huge meadow consisting of huge cedar trees stood right before the mountains, preceded by a vast landscape of what seemed like a mustard field and a small stream flowing right in the middle.

The water shone brightly by the light cast by the warm sun, but it wasn’t too warm either.

It was perfect weather.

Beside the river was a small wooden cabin, and I could see smoke come out of the chimney.

I immediately recognized that structure because it was the same cabin that I had amidst the woods.

My family and Joey used to spend the holidays in that cabin.

That’s mine and my dog’s happy place.

Due to the serenity of the place, I am definitely sure that I saw my dog in heaven.

I saw him run towards me, wagging his tail, a big smile on his sweet little face.

As he started running, I saw my grandfather and one of my cousins, both of whom I’d lost two years ago in a car crash.

They were stacking a pile of logs to light a campfire, I guess.

I also saw small puppies play around them, and I assume they were Joey’s siblings, who he’d lost at some point in time.

All of them seemed blissful and happy.

Joey jumped up and down as he reached my proximity.

He always did that when he saw me sad and always managed to take me out into the backyard to play ball.

It would really cheer me up! I burst into tears in the dream because it brought back so many memories.

I picked him up, took him in my arms, and just kissed him all over his face!

Another sudden event happened at that very instant. I saw my dog clutch his favorite ball between his teeth.

And that’s when I knew Joey was still with me and that he was at peace.

As soon as I was about to put him down and start playing catch, I heard soft music.

It was my alarm.

Finally, I woke up to my alarm, looked around, and saw a ball lying on my blanket.

It was the same ball Joey clutched in his mouth in the dream, his all-time favorite toy.

I was filled with warmth in my heart.

I finally knew that my little four-legged friend was happy, at peace, and by my side, even after leaving the material plane.

I saw my dog in heaven, blissful, and nothing else mattered!

My Feelings When I Saw My Deceased Dog In Heaven

Needless to say, it was a roller-coaster ride in terms of feelings when I saw my dog in heaven.

At first, when I saw Joey in the trailer park, I was confused.

It was a long-time ago, so it took me time to recognize his family, although I could figure out that it was Joey.

Then when he turned around, I was filled with a sudden warmth in my heart.

The entire scenery had changed by then too.

It seemed very familiar now because I saw two of my own family members, as well as my log cabin.

When Joey started to jump up and down, I felt joy and sorrow at the same time.

Joy, because I could see my loyal, loving, four-legged friend, up to his acts again.

Sorrow, because I knew it may be the last time that I would ever experience that!

After I took him in my lap, there was a pure feeling of love, peace, and thankfulness.

All through my dream, I did not feel afraid or scared.

That’s what confirmed the fact that I dreamt of my deceased dog in heaven.

Interpretations of Dreaming About A Dead Dog In Heaven

1.Dreaming Of A Dead Dog In Heaven

According to Psychology Today, “If the deceased dog appears loving, healthy, and vibrant, they are conveying reassurance and/or important messages. The dreamer experiences closure, which can be life-changing.”

This can be about your deceased pet or even about a loved one that passed away recently.

Another clinical psychologist, Jennifer Shorter, collated data from different dreams where the person saw their deceased pet in heaven.

Some felt happy and blissful, and others felt different emotions based on the activity of the pet in the dream.

According to her analysis, when you dream of your deceased dog in heaven, it signifies that they want you to be happy and joyful in your waking life.

They may mean to tell you that you made their life heavenly when they were alive, and there was nothing more you could do to stop them from passing away.

It’s a message of closure, where your deceased pet means to tell you that they are happy, healthy, and with you always!

2. Dreaming Of An Alive Dog In Heaven

In case your dog is still alive, and you dream of him/her being in heaven, that has an entirely different meaning.

As per Check My Dream, a living dog that you dream of is in heaven in your dreams, which means, “soon you will meet a person whom you already didn’t expect to see.”

The more subtle way of figuring out the dream message when you dream of your dog in heaven is to remember how you felt in the dream.

Trust your feelings because feelings never lie!

My Feelings After I Woke Up

The way I felt after I woke up was definitely close to the term, ‘closure.’

I finally knew that I saw my dog in heaven, where he was joined by everyone we love.

Since he made sure to inform me that he was still around me, it also made me feel content that ‘life goes on,’ even after we leave the planet earth.

The fact that I would see him again on the other side after I die, that feeling was heavenly.

I am curious to know if anyone of you has ever had a dream such as this?

Please comment about the way you felt, who did you see, how the scenario was, and everything that you felt after you woke up.

Let’s dig a little into the unknown and try to figure out if our four-legged friends are still out there, even after they die.

Because one thing is for sure, we sure do perceive them after their death in ways that are incomprehensible to earthly beings.
